Got Stuck? Try These Tips to Streamline Your March Week 4: The Final of the 4

For the month of March, I am going to focus my blog posts on how to continue moving forward and making progress on your goals.

In January, we created our goals for the year.  In February, we either began working on those goals or refining our plan of attack.  Now that March is upon us, I want to help you with your ability to make forward progress with your goals.

This month, I am going to focus on forward progress.  In January we all created our intentions for the year.  In February we either began working on those intentions or refining our plan of attack.  Now that March is here, I want to help you with your ability to make forward progress with those goals.  As we near the end of the 1st quarter of 2016, let us not lose our steam!  Let us march forward with even more zeal and enthusiasm.  Let us continue to strive daily to live the life we desire.

In March, the goal is to demonstrate your desire to live the life you desire one day and one week at a time.

Each week I will post on Monday a new focus for the week

WEEK 4: The Final of the 4

It is the final week of March!!! Man, did this month fly by quickly?  If you started this journey at week one, then I am confident that you have your plan, you have your purpose, you have your support squad and now for the fourth and final step in your march forward (drumroll please) …I want you to realistically set a date when you will achieve your plan.

I know…I’m asking you to commit to a date and time for “completion.”  As I stated in the first week, plans can be changed and it is okay to do so as needed, but what happens when you have a plan that you continue to review and keep changing?

YOU TAKE LONGER TO ACHIEVE IT!

Why? You never gave yourself a realistic deadline to work towards.  I have worked with many people (including myself) who have great intentions, great ideas, great goals and great plans that are never started or even partially fulfilled all because there was no specific completion date given.

In order to achieve the life you desire and reach your goals, one day you must shift from planning to action.  You must, as you have been this entire month, march forward daily with your plan, your purpose, your support squad and a specific date written down to mark the intended completion of your plan. If you need more time to achieve your plan to your liking then take it, but schedule another due date to accomplish the tasks in your plan. Completion dates aid in your ability to hold yourself accountable and finish what you have started…regardless.  With a projected completion date, you will be exerting your best effort to reach your goal.

Your plan + Your purpose + Your support squad + Your completion date      (with your best effort)  = SUCCESS

ACTION ITEM:  Reflect on your progress this month.  How have you grown during the month of March?  In what ways have you already made progress towards achieving your plan based upon the activities you completed each week? Take time to recognize and celebrate your March forward.

Sonya’s Marching Orders:  Set your completion date.  Write it on top of your plan and your purpose.  Call your support squad and let them know this date.  Plan a small gathering/celebration on this date to commemorate your success.  Most importantly, keep marching forward until that date regardless. I am confident in your ability to succeed. Let me be the first to congratulate you in advance on your success! Keep Marching…
