Self-care Reset
Is it frustrating when your plans change due to circumstances outside of your control? Absolutely! It is important to feel the feeling, but not stay there. Yes, you can be frustrated and you can also rebound, reset and reschedule.

“He that is good for making excuses is seldom good for anything else.” —Benjamin Franklin
As adults, we must begin to place more value on the need to “sit down” regularly in order to regroup, rest and refresh.
As the Queen (Beyoncé) says,”I don’t like to gamble, but if there’s one thing I’m willing to bet on, it’s myself.”
52 weeks ago, I started the year with a personal challenge to give my community a different perspective on the meaning of self-care. I wanted to demonstrate through my own personal journey how I discovered new ways to participate in self-care and new lessons learned from my practice.
I can be at peace because it is something I create for myself. Only I can create and protect my peace.
Earlier in the year I wrote about self-care being forgiving, but I really had to highlight that the forgiveness self-care offers is available over and over and over and over again. This is why self-care is still forgiving.
Self-care is something that is mine to create and mine to enjoy. No one can beat giving me what I need even if they tried. For this reason I have joy. My own joy.
It’s never too late to get into this self-care mood.
Release yourself of the need to be perfect. Do your best each and every day.
