The Four Mantras I Created in the Past 12 Days

Twelve days ago, I embarked on a journey that I hoped challenged me to live my best balanced life and right now, I can tell you that this was one of the best things I could’ve done for myself.  Since beginning the challenge, I have been more aware of my mental, physical and spiritual health needs each and every day.  I am providing much needed nourishment to all aspects of my life and it feels BEYOND AMAZING!

I promote, advocate and encourage others to live their best lives on a daily basis through my counseling, coaching and consulting practice (Modus Life, LLC), but I know I am not exempt from doing the same in my own life.  Follow my blog as I continue to post my daily activities.

The Challenge:

For the month of April, I vowed to complete a different self-care activity each day regardless of how I felt.  I would not allow myself to use any excuse to get out of completing the challenge.  So far, this promise to myself has proven to be the motivation that I needed on the days that I was tried or when it was getting late in the evening.  There was no out.  As long as it was before midnight I still had time to do what I set out to achieve for the day.  This mindset has proven to be extremely effective in other areas of my life as well.

Lessons Learned Thus Far:

  1. Don’t allow your goals to be excused by excuses
  2. Plan and Do….Regardless
  3. Self-care truly is the best care
  4. Wellness is priceless

I encourage you to join me in the #30dayselfcarechallege.  Start today and plan for one day at a time. Then, keep it going.  Just get started!  I’ll see you all tomorrow with a new challenge activity.
