Intro Intro Intro Introducing

Allow me to reintroduce myself. My name is Sonya (SAWN-ya).

You may be wondering where you know me from or why I’m reintroducing myself. The reason is, to be honest; this is not my first time building a platform to share my knowledge, skills and experiences with the world. As the saying goes, the third time is a charm!

In the past, I have made a few attempts (okay at least two) at blogging and maintaining a web presence. All of which seemed more like an obligation rather than a divined purpose. I had to ask myself why did I feel this way?   After some honest reflection, I discovered that I committed two cardinal sins.

  1. I was not clear on my purpose.
  2. I was not 100% true to myself.

I was not clear on my purpose.

I was blogging about any and everything, but nothing at the same time. My message wasn’t clear.   Why? I wasn’t clear on what platform I was promoting. I found content creation to be challenging which in the end lead me to create less and less and less and no content.

If you are starting any new project including personal development be clear on what your purpose is and your desired end result.

I was not 100% true to myself.

This may have been the hardest, but most needed realization I have ever discovered. While I was not pretending to be anyone else, I was not 100% me. I’ll say I was at a 70% on the “realness” scale. I tried to cater to an unknown audience with an unknown message. I listened to the thoughts and opinions of others, more than my own voice. The topics (shopping, advocacy, mental health awareness, traveling and food) are all topics that are near and dear to my heart, but I had to ask myself “What are you really passionate about?” The answer: I am passionate about personal development and helping others to create and experience their most fulfilling lives.

Your thoughts, interests and passion are good enough for your life. Period.

In the past, I tried to create cool catchy names and hashtags, but then I realized, my name is already the best thing since sliced bread and it has so much meaning. I do not need any gimmicks or clichés. I am 100% me, Sonya Frazier and I strive, with each new day, to create a better version of myself than I was the day before. I am a natural developer of people (myself included).
