Got Stuck? Try These Tips to Streamline Your March Week 3: Squad Goals


For the month of March, I am going to focus my blog posts on how to continue moving forward and making progress on your goals.

 

In January, we created our goals for the year.  In February, we either began working on those goals or refining our plan of attack.  Now that March is upon us, I want to help you with your ability to make forward progress with your goals.

 

This month, I am going to focus on forward progress.  In January we all created our intentions for the year.  In February we either began working on those intentions or refining our plan of attack.  Now that March is here, I want to help you with your ability to make forward progress with those goals.  As we near the end of the 1st quarter of 2016, let us not lose our steam!  Let us march forward with even more zeal and enthusiasm.  Let us continue to strive daily to live the life we desire.

 

In March, the goal is to demonstrate your desire to live the life you desire one day and one week at a time.

 

Each week I will post on Monday a new focus for the week.

 

 

WEEK 3: Squad Goals

 

You have your plan. Great.  You were reminded all of last week and the week before of your purpose. Fantastic. Last week you completed one task related to your goal daily. Wonderful.

 

This week in your March forward, I want you to focus on who can support you with achieving this goal.

 

Now hear me out.

 

One of our fundamental needs as humans is the need to be connected.  I want to you to choose wisely one or two people max who can serve as your #cheeringsquad.  Who will tell you to “suck it up and get it done” in the most loving and supportive way possible?  Who will be your accountability partner that will ask you for status updates or your march forward.  Who can you bounce new ideas off of and expect honest feedback.  Who?

 

ACTION ITEM: Take 5 minutes to write a list of people who can serve as your support system.  By each name write how you would like these individuals to support you.

 

Circle the two names of people who possess the supportive characteristic(s) you need the most right now.

 

Now call them and ask if they are willing to join you in the forward march to moving closer to achieving your goal.  Tell them specifically how you would like for them to support you and how often you need their support.

 

Sonya’s Marching Orders: Continue to review your purpose daily and make daily action items.  Check in with the member(s) of your support team at least once this week and update them on your progress towards your goal.  Keep Marching.
