Self-care Makes Me Patient

Reason number 41 why I decided to make self-care a priority this year is…

Self-care makes me patient.

We must be patient while preparing for the next thing.

Patience is a virtue is something that I have always heard growing up.  I’ve spoken before on the blog about the importance of patience, but the virtue of patience is something that we must remind ourselves of regularly.

Do not get frustrated that things are not happening in the order or time that we thought they would.  Stay consistent.

Do not get frustrated that things are not happening in the order or time that we thought they would.  Stay consistent.

Self-care allows me to enjoy the fullness I can sometimes only find in stillness.  Continue to believe that everything you have asked for or everything you desire is still going to happen.  Release the timestamps that you have placed on your life.  Be patient.  Be purposeful.  Continue to work towards your dreams daily.

Patience is a virtue that can be cultivated through self-care.  Learn to be patient with yourself first.  Love yourself.  Celebrate yourself.  Track your growth and progress.  Celebrate your process.  Continue to do the work.  Then notice how much more patience you have for the right things in your life.

AFFIRM: I am patient because I take care of myself and believe that what is destined for me will happen.

Be well,

Sonya
