Take the Next Step

Take the next step.  Where did that step lead you and what is your ultimate destination?

It matters not whether the step is large or small, the important part is that you are taking action to move forward.  The journey is oftentimes greater that the destination.

What steps are you taking to actively pursuing growth and progress?

The answer will be highly personal since everyone’s objectives are different.  I know that consistency and discipline will be needed to get where I’m trying to go physically, spiritually, mentally, emotionally, personally and professionally.

On my journey towards my best self, I know that “me time” found in self-care is essential in my growth.  It allows me the opportunity to stop and enjoy the current view on my journey.  In my moments of sitting, meditating, reflecting, walking or writing I practice gratitude for where I’ve been, where I am and where I am going.  During my self-care moments, I remind myself to breathe, listen and check-in with myself.

I breathe.  I listen.  I check-in with myself.

By making the time to show care and concern for myself, I am reminding myself how important I am as a person!  I honor where I am in the moment while also planning that next step of where I would like to be physically, mentally, emotionally, personally and professionally.  I let this time organically flow each and every day.  It is necessary.  It is a priority.  It is mandatory to document my growth and progress towards my goals.

This year, I am determined to achieve some very lofty goals in multiple aspects of my life.  My 2020 intentions will require a level of consistency and discipline that I have yet to master previously.  I am ready for the challenge.  I have places to go and people to meet.

May this serve as my first of many steps forward on my path.

Feel free to email me or comment on this post to share your next step.  I would love to hear where you are going and how you plan on getting there.

Be well,
