Self-Care Keeps Me Disciplined

While reflecting on what self-care has done for me this week, I had to take a moment to really think about my response to the question. In that quiet moment of reflection, I realized that my focus on self-care has really begun to positively impact me as a person. This year, I have found myself to be more productive and disciplined than ever. I honestly that self-care has helped me grow in my ability to focus and complete tasks. Here’s how. I realized that by taking care of myself, I now have more energy to do the things that I need to do in order to be successful. I am becoming better about prioritizing my day. I am becoming better about checking in with myself and honoring my needs for sleep, socialization, quiet time, etc. I am becoming better overall. Self-care has helped me to adopt a new code of behavior for my life and for this I am grateful. How can self-care make you disciplined? Try making it a priority and schedule “self-care time” at least weekly. Be well.
