Self-Care Relieves Tension


Reason number 13 why I am making self-care a priority this year…

 

Self-Care relieves tension.

 

More and more I am experiencing the residual effects of self-care on my body.  Being in tune with myself has allowed me to quickly identify when something is “off” and has increased my motivation to do what I can to quickly resolve the issue.

 

 

These feelings prompted me to recently do one thing I’ve been meaning to try forever.

 

 

What’s that?

 

 

Getting a hot stone massage. 

 

 

After reading the benefits which include stress relief, increased circulation, reduced muscle tension and increased flexibility, I was convinced that now was the time to finally make this happen.

 

When you know better you do better.  I know self-care is a priority so I make it one.

 

Self-care is more than massages, but for me this week, a massage is exactly what my mind and body needed.
